I'm Finally Back with a New Post! :D

Howdy all! :) What have you all been up to? Well, if you ask me, I'll tell everything right here. Have you noticed changes in my blog? I chose Minima Lefty Stretch as my base theme for this, so that my blog would be wider and would value my pictures and content more than excessive design. hahah! I mean, I want my blog to be simpler! What do you think of my header and footer? For the brushes, I mostly used Tokidoki Brushes by Naturallady76 of Deviantart. Thank you so much! :D And there are a lot more credits on the Credits page of this blog. ;) Remember to contact me if I forgot to credit someone there. ^^, If ever I forgot crediting someone, it would really be my honest mistake, so please do ask me politely.

So, here's my blog header:

And my blog footer:

And you know, I'm not exactly done yet with my new theme. I still need to modify my About Me, also known as the Girl page here in my blog, since I observed that some of those things I had written there don't apply to me anymore because my personality kinda changed a bit, OR maybe my old personality came back I guess? HAHA. Whatever the case may be, I'll modify that section. ;)

So, I'll informally start the post I was talking about in my previous post! :D

Here are the recaps I've mentioned in case you didn't know what I talked about in my previous post:

  1. I did VECTOR ART. :D (Again, I'll post pictures once I'm done with the layout)
  2. I played Jamlegend. (More details on the next post..)
  3. I signed up for fashion sites; Lookbook and Chictopia. I'll post something soon! :D
  4. really want to try online shopping na.
  5. I want to open up a bank account, and G-Cash!
  6. need to earn money already!
  7. I decided to give this blog a new look, which I'll be working on right now, because I was inspired with doodles and Tokidoki designs. hahah! :D So I may apply what I was inspired on with the layout I'll be making. xD
  8. My mom bought me a new pair of slippers. :)
  9. I decided to share pictures of my stuff to you. haha! :D
  10. 10-Day Challenge, Day Number 9.
  11. Promote Panache Online.

I'll now proceed, basing that list for the order. xD

While I was away from Facebook (because my favorite chatmate isn't around since he's sick), I did something worthwhile that would unleash my artistic talents. (hahah!) And that's cartoonizing pictures, also known as making a vector. Here are vectors that I've made:

What do you think? Which is better? The first one or the second one? The first one's my first try by the way. :D

Then, upon reading one of ate Pearl's posts, I discovered Jamlegend, a music game. It's really an awesome game to play, and it can be addicting. xD Check it out for you to know what I'm talking about! :D

I signed up for fashion sites too, like Lookbook and Chictopia! I've always wanted to be a model, an amateur one at least. hahah! But too bad I couldn't be one just yet. But I will be soon, when I'd be earning a lot then I could buy from shops like Forever21! For now, I'll settle on random clothes and accessories. :D

Oh, Fashion! :D Image from Vintage Fashion

You know, our family could finally (hopefully) go to Manila next summer! OMG. I'm so excited for Senior Year to end. LOLjk. HAHAH! I'm just exaggerating, but yeah, I'm excited to go to Manila, and finally I could go to some popular shops there, some famous attractions, top universities in the country, and maybe, just maybe we could meet our long-lost relatives there, like ate Hazel! It's good that I have this blog, if it weren't for it, I wouldn't have met her. ;)

Here's a random thing I thought about these past few days: I want that, even for just once in my life, ... to try ONLINE SHOPPING! :D Uhm, well, since I saw a lot of goodies on online shops I visited at Multiply, and online shops I've read from Candymag magazine, and these goodies are mostly accessories and shoes. ahahah! Hmm, my eyes crave a lot, right? xD

And yeah, I'd love to open a bank account and a Globe G-Cash account, so that I could deposit my PHP 3,000 worth of money there and grow! xDD I also plan to open up a business too, but because I don't have bank accounts or whatsoever, I couldn't do that yet.

HAHA! I like this picture. xD Image from Life of Material

Another thing, I need to earn money already, not for fashionable clothes and all that, but for COLLEGE (and yeah, maybe also for fashionable clothes and accessories. HAHAH). College education requires a lot of money you know, and I need to lessen my parents' expenses. And another, I'm not even sure if I'd get to be Valedictorian next school year, so, yeah, I should better be prepared than sorry. In my age right now, I should already be paying my parents back for everything they did to us. :)

I'll skip the layout topic since I already talked about it in the beginning. :D

So I'll proceed with the pair of slippers my mother bought for me. xD

It's Havaianas! :D I love its design! I mean, I love its color combination, pink-brown-white! I even have a shirt with that color combination. hahah! I'd love to post a look on that. xD

And, as what I have said, I'll post pictures of some of the stuffs I love to you! :D Here they are!

Lacoste. :D That's my digital camera right there. :D Kodak Easyshare C713

Oh yeah \m/ It's made in France, where one of my dream places to go to, Paris, comes from. :))

Front view. ;)

A cute headband! :D And I love its color and pattern! ;)

Oh I love these shots of mine. :)

And then, one of the last things to share before this post ends! :D

  1. Go online shopping, and offline shopping to the max. xD And buy all of the things I never had ~
  2. Be successful, earn a lot, make my parents even more proud, and travel around the world.

Aaaand !! :D Just a reminder:

Please, if you have time, please visit Panache Online! :D If you don't know what "panache" means, well, it means, based from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panache , "Panache is now used to describe someone who has a dashing confidence of style, or shows a certain flamboyance and courage, and is a familiar word now in English. Its meaning has also been extended to include anything capable of displaying such attributes." So, in this online magazine, we're going to do just that! :) My summer post, entitled "Feel the Heat! It's Summertime!", is its first real post! I'd like to congratulate myself for that. xD hahah! Thank you to my co-admins; ate Umi, Marinella, Michelle, Mariel, and Rhea for having a great start on the online magazine! :D It's been great working with them! :D

Then, to end this post, here's my vanity taken up to the highest level I-could-get-as-of-the-moment:

Sorry for the face if it bothers you. xD

That's it for now! Thanks for reading and viewing! :) I'll bloghop later. LOL. 'Coz I finished this post at dawn. :D

EDIT: I almost forgot! Ate Marinella gave me this special emblem! :)) Thank yoooouuuuu very much sis! :D It's an honor that I was able to receive this prestigious award. xD And also, I would like to congratulate her for winning 2nd place of the first contest she has ever joined in! :D Woah. I wish I could have her luck. hahah! :) I am happy for her though. ^^, I received this emblem as an appreciation of the help I had given her to win the contest. ;)

Again, thank you very much! :)

A Quick Post before I'll work on my new layout! :)

Hello there everyone! How are you all doing? Me, I'm doing fine! I am very sorry (again) for not updating my blog lately. It's just that I was, again, really busy with some other things, and I'll blog about those things once I'm done with my new layout. :D

Telling you about the things I did usually come with pictures, but this time, I'll avoid pictures for the moment since I am going to tweak a new layout which has wider main wrapper, or whatever you call it. xD Or, for you to understand it, I'll widen this section right here where you're reading my blog posts. :) I want you readers to view my photos fully, I mean, I want you to view bigger pictures here so that you'll appreciate my pictures more.

But, you know, I decided to give you a recap on what I did this week instead:

  1. I did VECTOR ART. :D (Again, I'll post pictures once I'm done with the layout)
  2. I played Jamlegend. (More details on the next post..)
  3. I signed up for fashion sites; Lookbook and Chictopia. I'll post something soon! :D
  4. I really want to try online shopping na.
  5. I want to open up a bank account, and G-Cash!
  6. I need to earn money already!
  7. I decided to give this blog a new look, which I'll be working on right now, because I was inspired with doodles and Tokidoki designs. hahah! :D So I may apply what I was inspired on with the layout I'll be making. xD
  8. My mom bought me a new pair of slippers. :)
  9. I decided to share pictures of my stuff to you. haha! :D

..and oh, I'll post my 10-Day Challenge Post once I'm done with the layout. ;)

Thank you so much! That would be it! :D

EDIT: Meanwhile, care to check out Panache Online? It's an online magazine I am recently a staff on. Contents coming soon! :D

Day 8: Three words you can’t go a day without using.

I'm once again back for the 10-Day Challenge! I'm now on Day 8:: Three words you can't go a day without using :)

  1. Prudence (the name of my baby bro)
  2. Quickchow (a noodle brand, and I use this term to tease my chubby sister. lol)
  3. hahaha (because I always have time to laugh each day, and that explains why I'm still alive today? LOL)
You know, it's pretty much easy to determine those three words I can't go a day without using, since I never talk that much at home because I spend most of my time typing. hahah

So, yeah, that would be it!

..but wait! I'm not done with this blog post yet. I still have more things to share! :)

So, last Monday, I got my report card!! :D Guess what's the result? I got a 98.02% general average! WOOOOH! Take a look it! (Click the image for a bigger view)

I got six 99s! :)) I'm so happy! Even though I did not top the whole batch, I'm happy because it's the first time in High School that I was able to reach that 98 grade-point average! It has been a promise to myself before the school year of 2010 - 2011 started; to get an average of 98%~! If you had been a reader of my blog last summer, you know how I'm going crazy with achieving that. Then, here I am! I finally achieved it! Thank you so much Lord! :D I hope You'll let me show that grade-point average (or higher) again! I almost let out tears of joy when I saw my report card! hahah!

Another thing, for the past few nights, I read these three (3) books:

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks
This is indeed a great book! I love the story. It teaches us about true love. But the story didn't quite end great though. While John Tyree, the main character of the story, was on leave at Germany, because of his absence, Savannah ended up falling in love with her long-time best friend Tim, then they got married. He didn't know that the man she married was Tim that time, and he knew everything when he came to visit Savannah. It was a very hurtful part for John indeed, considering the fact that he was deeply in love with Savannah, and that he was still recovering from his father's loss. At the end of the story, Tim got sick; he caught Melanoma, then cancer cells began to build up in his lungs, and he was undergoing treatment. John sold his late father's coins to donate for Tim's treatment. Time passed, then Tim was all well, then John watched him and Savannah walk together and thought that they're perfect for each other, then at night, when the full moon came out, Savannah and John, while watching it, began to reminisce their memories together. Then I guess that ends it. :) You should read it! Or watch it! It's really a great story.

Awake! : The Truth About the Occult
This is indeed a great book to read, especially for Catholics, Christians, or other Christian-related religions. A classmate of mine gave it to me. This magazine was about proving that ghosts, white ladies, and the like are not works of the dead, but they're from the demons. It cites various verses from the Bible proving those, which make perfect sense. Well, because of this book, I'm not afraid of the dead anymore. hahah! lol

The Watchtower: Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom; The Garden of Eden - Myth or Fact?
Another great book I've read! This magazine proved that the Garden of Eden was indeed a real place, since at the beginning, everything that God made was perfect, but because Adam and Eve sinned, they suffered the consequences of being imperfect, or, that is how I understood it. This magazine also cites verses from the Bible, to prove that Eden was indeed real and a fact.

I also watched Crazy Little Thing Called Love in this website (with English Subs)! :) It's a very inspiring movie indeed, and it made me believe that what happened to Nam, the main character girl on the movie, could happen to me too. LOL me. I just hope it would happen to me. xD I got the image from http://kawaiilolabunny.wordpress.com/2011/03/25/a-crazy-little-thing-called-love-%E2%99%A5/

By the way, recently, I had been volunteering for ate Umi's online magazine, Panache Online. Care to check it out? Contents are coming soon. I already wrote an article for the magazine! :) It's about Summer! :D Wanna read it? Tell me what you think of the article. Here it is:

Feel the Heat! It’s summertime!

Ahh, at last! Summer’s here! It’s one of the most anticipated times of the year, considering the fact that this season is a 2-month rest time from school, and from work as well. Oh, finally, people could spend the vacation they deserve!

Now, what do people usually do these days? Some go on an out-of-town trip, go to the country’s, or even the world’s famous landmarks and vacation spots, friends hang out with each other, most people hang out at the beach or the pool, teens who are old enough apply summer jobs to make their summer worthwhile since they could earn money, for incoming college students, they usually spend their time deciding on their courses or trying out various universities, taking entrance exams, and the like, and some kids also attend summer camps, summer classes in school, then the whole school staff prepare the school for the next school year, and a lot more.

There’s indeed so much to do during summer vacation!

In terms of leisure and recreation, since people take advantage of the warmer temperatures by spending more time outdoors, some play sports like basketball, badminton, volleyball, skateboarding, baseball, softball, tennis, football, cricket, and water polo. Water skiing is a uniquely summer sport, which is done when waters approach their warmest of the year. For people who are less sports-oriented, they usually spend their time watching TV, surfing the Internet, read books, and a many others.

And since there are some students who would want to transform to a better-looking them for the next school year, they spend their time getting fit, getting new looks, growing taller, and a lot more, and teachers also seek further education themselves, advancing their knowledge and skill levels for future endeavors.

To adapt with the season, people usually eat and drink cold food and beverages. They eat ice cream often, drink some shakes, fruit juices, ice-cold drinks, and they also eat fruits and desserts. Another thing they do to adapt to the season would be wearing thin clothing, and others also would be following this summer’s fashion trends and all. Sleeveless shirts, short shorts, and flip-flops are usually the trend this season.

Then at home, because it’s indeed hot inside, ceiling fans and air-conditioners are usually used more often this time, which also leads to higher electric bills. People should also be wise on how to save electricity. That would be why they should stay outside more often so that it could be one way to save it.

No matter what people’s activities would be this summer, they should remember that they should make its vacation worthwhile, meaning; they should get good benefits from what they’re doing. Summer vacation is a time for fun and learning, you know, so make the most of it! :)

I'm very glad to be one of the staffs in that online magazine. :) And ate Pearl also assigned me to be one of her staffs for her soon-to-be-reopened writing portfolio! How cool is that? It's like I'd be working for editorial companies. haha!

Well, that's it for now! Thank you so much for taking your time reading and viewing all the contents of this blog post! hahah! :D

7th Day of the 10-Day Challenge, and Other Matters

Hey there everyone~! I'm back with the 10-Day Challenge, and now I'm on its 7th Day! :)

Day 7: Four memories you won’t forget.
  1. The times when I was a cry-baby.
  2. Everytime I go up the stage to receive my awards, medals, ribbons, and certificates, and my parents are with me.
  3. When I was so addicted to Friendster.
  4. The very basic things I learned in school.

So, that's it!

Next thing I'm going to talk about would be what's going on yesterday, and other random things that may be worth sharing.

So, yesterday, we had brownout from around 7 am to 5:30 pm. Since we don't have any electricity, we bought fastfood as breakfast, lunch, and supper instead. And because we couldn't be with Mr. Internet, I, with my younger sister, took pictures instead, well, mostly I was the one who took pictures. xD

Here are some pictures I took:

A rare shot? haha~ I caught flies on the camera! :)

They grazed on the grass altogether. :D

Solving Sudoku puzzles! :)

A swing made from an old tire and rope. ^^,

And, I remembered the birthday card my classmates from my First Year in High School gave me. I decided to show it to you guys! :)

Oh, how I miss those times, when we were so united and no-one is left behind with all the fun! Thank you so much to everyone who made my first year in high school one of the best school years in my whole school life.

You might have been amazed that I kept that birthday card for how many years now. :D

And oh, by the way, the other day, I had fun editing some pictures! Here's one picture that I edited.

I applied what I have learned about gradients and brushes! :) What do you think?

Another thing, because I was reminiscing my childhood memories, here are some photographs I took:

Baby Pictures! :) Do I look cute? haha

I graduated from Pre-School, as one of the First Honors :) (not in the pic. heh)

Grade 1 and 2! :) And I still maintained my First Honor rank. ;)

This was one of the last pictures we took before we transferred to a new school, and that school is where I am studying until now. :D Me and my sister were so cute back then. hahah! ;)

You know, I am really going to miss those childhood times! I have always wanted to smile like that again. haha! :D And it turns out that I can still able to smile just like that. Can you still recognize me in those pictures? :)

By the way, another thing I was up too these past few days was pushing my luck in Tumblr Giveaways, DSLR giveaways to be specific! If you want a DSLR, and you also have Tumblr, here are links to posts I had reblogged:

And I reblogged all these giveaways more than 300 times, well, except the first one because only one reblog is allowed. :)

I really do hope I could win! I'm desperate to have a DSLR already! I want to experience how's it like to have one! wooooh~ \m/

I also want to have some fashion items because I want to be, at least, an amateur model. LOL me. hahah! But anything's possible, right? I just have to boost my confidence and all.

I should be optimistic from now on! ;) Since I have read an article from an old issue of Candymag, but too bad I could not show it to you guys since I only read it in our school library and I don't have it with me at home. xD So, yeah, I have read that when you think you're going to be lucky, THEN you'll be lucky! And when you're all pessimistic about it, then you'll end up being unlucky. Hmm, no wonder optimistic people always seem to be lucky! ahaha, while pessimistic people end up being miserable and all. Have you observed that too?

And, I am so excited for tomorrow! You know why? Because we get to get out from home once again! LOL. I mean, we'll once again go to the mall and supermarket to buy some stuff, and also go to our school to get our report card! :D I am also so excited to see my teachers again, and oh, that reminds me, I should ask about when the Leadership Seminar would be held. I really need to know since I'm surely the one to be assigned to make a letter on it, because again, I'm the Secretary of our Student Organization. It's a tiring job though, but I'm happy with it. :)

Well, that's it for now! Thanks for reading and viewing! :D

I'm Bored

..What am I gonna do about it?

Before I'll tell you what, I apologize for not updating for a while. It's just that I was busy with some things and that I couldn't think of anything great to blog.

Soo, uhm, wait, to those who had been reading my blog since December 28, 2010 (or earlier), you had read about my 10-Day Challenge, right? Or do you remember anything about it? Well, if you do, you might have noticed that I kinda stopped that challenge for a while now. So, because I am really bored as of the moment, I decided to revive that challenge! :)

If you weren't a reader of my blog at that time, here is a post of mine stating about my 10-Day Challenge: CLICK!*

*Don't worry about clicking my links thinking that you could leave this page. I set them to open in a new tab for your convenience. ;)

Here are the challenges that I've done: (Click them if you want)

Next stop::

Day 6: Five things you can't live without.
  1. God's and my family's LOVE and CARE for me
  2. Food and water
  3. Shelter
  4. Clothing
  5. Knowledge and wisdom

Hahah! I'm very realistic, ain't I? :))

And, another thing I did today, again because I was kinda bored, was trying out some things I learned in Photoshop tutorials. Thanks to these websites: http://girlfromparis.tumblr.com/tagged/parisiantutorials and http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photoshop-text/text-effects/image-in-text/, I learned how to make these:

Bokeh Lights

Background in Text

So, what do you think? I'm sorry if it doesn't impress you. haha! Like what I've said, I had just learned how to do these effects today, and yes, I am still a beginner. xD It's good that I had found something cool to do with Photoshop. :)

I look forward to learning more effects! :D

Here are also some typos I've made for Tumblr. If you want, you could follow me here: LINK.

.. I asked this because I find it hard to distinguish what we'd feel if we're in love or just crushin' (crushin' bones? LOLjk) It's just, almost the same, in my opinion. haha

Oh yes I do! Thank you so much my followers, both in here and on Tumblr! Thank you, my 95 friends here on Blogger, and thank you for my 259 friends on Tumblr! I wouldn't have gotten this far if it weren't for you guys! :D

Do you agree? :)

This is so true. I live by this quote. ^^,

And by the way, those quotes came from my real-life friends who kept texting me. hahaha! :)) I enjoy reading those quotes, and there are also some who send me funny jokes, no matter how corny they are, I still find them funny anyway. LOL. I would like to thank them for those! :D Those quotes will forever be in my Inbox, I hope. haha xD And the senders? They will forever be in my heart, as friends of course.

You know, I am dying to have a DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) Camera! I'd want to take cool pictures, and I also want to learn Photography. haha, I mean, Professional Photography as they say.

But too bad it's VERY expensive though. I heard that it costs around PHP 30,000 to PHP 100,000. Am I right? Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

I do hope that someone would host a GIVEAWAY on that though! :D Pretty please? hahah. Because I'm sure that my parents or any relative of mine wouldn't offer to give me one. LOL. Since they think that I have a camera that still works fine and well and that I don't need to be bought a new one just yet. xD So, yeah, that's why.

BUT, if I never get to have one, then that would be okay, I guess it isn't for me after all. I have a lot other aims that are yet to be achieved other than that.

Another thing, I have this stray thought going on in me: Is luck really real? I was thinking about this because I was wondering why we're experiencing bad luck ever since the start of 2011. Did we do something wrong last New Year's Eve?? Or is there just some other thing that brings us to these shortcomings? I do hope that all of these would end though. But then again, I also think that luck is just based on thoughts of what may happen, whether we may be optimistic or pessimistic with them. Therefore, I should practice being optimistic more often. haha!

How about you? Do you believe in LUCK?

And oh, I almost forgot about summer! How's it going? To those who are in the other side of the world, what are you experiencing? I just wanna know since we, in the Philippines, never get to experience other seasons like Autumn, Winter, and Spring, only the Sunny and the Rainy season. haha! And Summer, yeah.

Well, this is unusual: I don't complain about how hot it is anymore. I mean, Summer isn't as hot as last Summer. It becomes windy all of a sudden, or rainy at some times. Hmm, I think it's because I live in a place where there are a lot of trees and plants, and I'm proud and happy to live here too.

Here's a screenshot of our place!

And yeah, that's just one-eighth of our place. hahah! lol. Seriously it is. xD You can now imagine how big our place is, right?

Well, that's it for now! I hope you enjoyed my post! :)
