Shopping! :)

Good evening everyone! How are you all? I'm fine, as always!

Today's Easter Sunday!

Easter is a Christian holiday. It is when Christians believe that Jesus Christ is said to have returned from the dead. Christians believe that Easter is the holiest day in the year. Easter is a Christian Holy Day celebrated on the first Sunday, following the first full moon, following the first day of spring.

Easter is not held on the same date every year. Currently all Christian Churches agree on how the date is calculated. Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday, following the first full moon, at least 14 days after the Spring Equinox. This means it is celebrated in March or April, most of the time.

Western churches, like the Roman Catholic Church, use the Gregorian calendar and Eastern churches, like the Eastern Orthodox Church, use the Julian calendar. Because of this the date of Easter celebrations is different for these two types of churches even though the way they calculate the date is the same.

Some people who are not Christians celebrate the beginning of Spring at Easter.

The word Easter comes from the ancient German word for April.

Just as what I've told you in my previous post, we went shopping in Limketkai and bought various things! Unfortunately, my mother only let me bring my received P1000 for me to buy those things, so, as expected, I only bought not as much, since I bought things that were expensive. Here are what I've bought:

Hmm..how much have I spent? Okay, I brought P1,220 all in all. We went to the National Bookstore and bought four (4) books namely:
  • The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (P245)
  • By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept (P245)
  • and 2 horror books my brother bought. (P80+P80=P160)
That would be a total of P650. We used my brother's money, P500, and a part of my money, P150. What's left of me now was P1,070.

Then, we went to Robinson's Department Store and bought my ballet flats! It costs P599.75. I used only my own money this time, P1,000 to pay for it and the change was P400.25. P470.25 was what's left. Then, I gave P200 to my mother and P270.25 was what's left. I decided to repay my brother for his money {P500 - P160 = P340 - 100 (for my mother) = P240}. Oh..xDD what's left of me now is P30.25, plus the remaining money I haven't spent yet, P2500 + P30.25 = P2,530.25!

So, how much did we spend? P650 + P599.75 = P1,249.75! Are my calculations right? Comment here if there are some errors, or comment even if there's none..haha.. :)) I'll edit this post as soon as possible if there are errors.

We really did spend a lot of money! I'll try to practice proper money management more! :D

Finally! I finally have my most wished ballet flats! I made a collage just for it, in Picnik.com!

...and made some edits like these!

Oh! How about the books? I love them! I already started reading a bit of the two books! We bought two novels, one for me and one for my sister! Both of them are by Paulo Coelho, since I've heard he's an author of international bestseller books! It's a good thing my parents suggested us to buy pocketbooks so that we could enhance our reading skills and vocabulary.

Well, that's it for now! This had been a very, very long post because of the photos! Thanks for reading, and bye! :)
